About the Artist: I originally painted with watercolor, then I discovered the vibrancy, richness and immediacy of soft pastels and was hooked. Today’s papers and other substrates are archival, the pastels are pure pigments and lightfast, ensuring my paintings will retain their vibrancy for 100 years.
My watercolors and pastels have won awards and are enjoyed in several private collections. I continue to study with regional and national artists through in-person workshops and online courses. I believe my best tool is my curiosity and willingness to follow my “what if” moments. Exciting results often occur, unexpected fun results.
I enjoy painting landscapes and narrative realism. I work from photos of pets and landscape scenes, as well as plein aire.
